Our concert selections are inspired by the origin and liturgy of Advent. Advent is prominently featured in the liturgy of the Christian church during the popular Christmas holiday. Advent is not Christmas. They are remarkably different occasions.
While Advent does invite and encourage the Christian to look back with wonder and gratitude at the arrival of Christ as a baby, it also determinably calls upon the Christian to look forward with hope and anticipation of Christ’s return as King of kings.
