A convincing performance comes from a confident singer. A confident singer is a competent artist. Aspirations of confidence and competence are not enough to deliver the ideals of a peak performance. Aspiration is the daily rally. But it is a singer’s obsession with achieving competence in the mechanics and the art of singing that must frame the aspired pursuit. Meaningful performances that quicken a singer’s heart and that shield a singer’s mind are performances that inspire us all.
